In this murder mystery farce, five strangers are invited to philanthropist’s mansion and treated to a séance, but the trick is on the guests when the spirits of past homicides turn up. A businessman with mob ties, a southern belle with questionable charities, a teacher, a radio comedian, and an heir to a fortune must reconcile with their past, and avoid upsetting the paranoid maid who will stab anyone with a handy vegetable at the slightest provocation. Wealthy Mr. Carlisle never arrives, and after the séance, Madame LaBonza disappears. However, certain spirits remain, along with the question of who is really pulling the strings behind the seemingly supernatural dropping of pinecones, banana peels and chandeliers. One thing is sure: to keep their secrets hidden, at least one guest is willing to kill again…
